HARRI and VAVA came together from a shared premise: that design is most interesting when it refuses to stay in its lane.
The collaboration between HARRI and VAVA Eyewear is a capsule of five eyewear designs, each one strictly limited, each one the result of two studios thinking across disciplines. HARRI brings a practice rooted in the sculptural possibilities of the body. VAVA brings a decade of independent eyewear built on advanced manufacturing and a deeply held belief in the post-human aesthetic. The result is not a licensing exercise. It is a genuine dialogue between two approaches to form.
The Collection
The collection introduces five models: CL0026, CL0027, CL0029, CL0030, and CL0031. Two are produced in Germany using bio-based polyamide powder derived from castor oil, 3D-printed through a process called selective laser sintering. This method builds each frame layer by layer, using only the minimum material required. Only this technology could produce structures of such complexity: forms inspired directly by HARRI's exploration of volume, anatomy, and transformation.
The castor beans used for the bio-based material are sourced from a cooperative of certified farmers in Gujarat, India, connecting the collection's material story back to the subcontinent where HARRI's design sensibility was first formed.
The remaining three models are produced in Italy using Mazzucchelli's M49 bio-acetate: a cellulose acetate made from cotton and wood-pulp fibres, manufactured under a new formulation using substances from renewable sources. This is the material that carries HARRI's most expressive sculptural silhouettes, bold volumes and graphic proportions that could only exist in an acetate of this quality. All frames across the collection incorporate aluminium elements, precision-milled in Italy. The acetate models carry Barberini crystal lenses with 100% rubber nose pads.
The Visual Language
Across both material streams, the visual language is the same: architectural geometries, futuristic proportions, a graphic logic drawn from machinery and movement. The frames do not decorate the face. They reorganise it.
VAVA's previous collaborators include Juan Atkins, Rad Hourani, Kengo Kuma, and Álvaro Siza Vieira. The brand's pieces have been worn by Vittoria Ceretti, Kendall Jenner, Spike Lee, and Ranveer Singh. HARRI has dressed Sam Smith at the 2023 BRIT Awards, designed costumes for Katy Perry's Lifetimes Tour, and shown at the V&A, the Royal Academy of Arts, the Design Museum, and the Barbican. This collaboration sits naturally in both brands' histories: two independent studios that have consistently worked at the edge of what their respective disciplines are supposed to look like.
The Editions
The collection is produced in numbered pieces. CL0026 in full black, 50 pieces. CL0027 in black with black or silver aluminium, 70 and 50 pieces respectively. CL0029 in black with black aluminium, 60 pieces, and crystal matte with black aluminium, 40 pieces. CL0030 and CL0031 available across red, black shinny, black matte, crystal matte, and white, 30 pieces each.
The Campaign
The campaign was shot by André Brito, with creative direction shared between VAVA and HARRI. Throughout, the frames are styled against HARRI's signature latex: structured, high-gloss, and deliberately architectural. The same tension between volume and precision that defines the eyewear runs through the garments. For those drawn to that visual language, the MuseumWear SS26 collection offers entry points into the HARRI wardrobe, from the Black Laser Printed Jeans to the Signature Black Leather Jacket. The inflatable collection remains the fullest expression of the studio's sculptural instinct.
